On 8th December something magical and ever so Christmassy happened in London…..
Thousands of wannabe Santas descended upon Victoria Park to complete the annual Doitforcharity Santa 5k or 10k fun Run. The spectacular Saint Nicks -minus their sleighs- took to the course with smiles and determination, resulting in all completing the course to cheers from the appreciative crowd.
With a free Santa suit for all attendees and the opportunity to raise vital funds for their chosen charities there was plenty of Christmas cheer throughout Victoria Park from participants, charities and spectators alike. –
The run also saw some alternative festive fancy dress thrown in for good measure – reindeers, snowmen and even pet pooches dressed in tiny Santa outfits completed the route too!
The Doitforcharity Santa Run 2013 was a huge success, with over 220 charities represented and a growing total of £500,000 raised!
The doitforcharity team would like to say a huge thank you to all runners and charities involved.
psst! If this run has tickled your fancy dress fun run taste buds then we have just the next event for you, and it is SUPER…….
