On Sunday 13th July a sea of purple made its way across the bridges of London with walkers raising funds for Kidney Research UK!
The 7 mile walk took families, friends and colleagues across London’s most iconic bridges, whilst raising awareness and vital funds for the charity.
The sun shone (with a few spots of rain!) as the walkers donned their purple t-shirts, grabbed a balloon and began their walk along the Thames. A few famous faces joined the crowds too – including Children’s author Jaqueline Wilson and jockey Richard Pitman.
The atmosphere on the day was incredible, with some truly moving moments- read the t-shirts below!
Participants also took the ‘selfie’ to another level with the ‘London bridges selfie’ competition along the way.
The walk was a huge success and a real purple statement in the heart of London! Well done to everyone who took part for Kidney Research UK, without you the charity would not be able to continue their amazing work.
