Why YOU should cycle London to Brighton.

The Doitforcharity London to Brighton bike ride  is an incredible 54 – mile cycling delight, taking place 7th September.  Starting at Clapham Common in London the cycle journeys from the heart of the city into idyllic countryside;  through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead, &  Haywards Heath, so you can take in the best of England’s scenery as you make your way to the coast.

Cyclists enjoy the view on our 2013 London to Brighton Ride

As you and over 2,500 fellow cyclists, make your way to Brighton you may find yourself in need of refreshments and a chance to refuel – never fear! – we will be on hand with a buffet halfway through your journey. Here you can have a break, rest your weary legs and take in the scenic view as you enjoy your food.

Our participants have a well deserved break and fill up with a delicious lunch!

There is no level of experience required to take part in this amazing challenge, however we do recommend you prepare for the event with a little training and arrive on the day with plenty of enthusiasm! This ride is all about having fun and embarking on an incredible journey for a good cause – it isn’t a race, you can go as slow or fast as you wish – it’s the taking part that counts! You can book on to cycle  for any charity of your choice which means we will have a wonderful mix-bag of multi-charity riders making their way down to the finish point this year!

What better way to raise money for charity than cycling through a beautiful landscape, enjoying a great day with like-minded people and feeling a real sense of achievement when you make your way through the finish line in the wonderfully atmospheric Brighton.  With support vehicles and mechanics throughout,  water stops and an incredible lunch stop, not to mention the amazing feeling of finishing the cycle on Brighton’s sunny seafront, it truly is the cycle of the year.

Happy cyclists celebrate their success in Brighton last year.

Feeling tempted? Dig out your lycra and put your pedals to the test now. This years cycle takes place 7th September and there is still time to sign up here !
