On the 20th July 2016, our cyclists set off on their 4 day cycling challenge of over 300 miles starting from Crystal Palace and finishing their adventure at the foot of Eiffel Tower. The strength and motivation every single one of our cyclists had was so inspiring! There were 115 cyclists altogether on the trip, 40 of whom were fundraising for MS Trust, and their charity rep Laura joined us on this incredible journey. In total there were cyclists fundraising for 29 different charities and causes!
Each day our cyclists took on the ‘Skyline miles’and they all did a fantastic job pedaling their way to each water and lunch stop to refuel for the next leg of their journey!
Everyone who was on the ride had a story to tell and reasons why they had decided to cycle the iconic route of London to Paris. One cyclist, Kate, cycled the route on a recumbent bike and each day she was determined to cycle more miles than the last with incredible heart-felt encouragement from her fellow cyclists – just one example of the amazing spirit of the group!
There were a few ups, a few downs and a few undulations 😉 overall the trip was incredible. The convoy into Paris was unforgettable and such an amazing achievement for all of the cyclists who had reached the finish line at the Eiffel Tower.
From everyone at Skyline and our amazing freelance crew we would like to thank all of the cyclists that were on this trip – you have achieved so much for your charities and yourself! We hope you enjoyed this cycling challenge as much as we did and we are all feeling very lost without our orange arrows! Congratulations and we hope to see you again on another adventure soon 🙂
